Best of Sri Lanka 2025 pics
Photos from my solo trip to Sri Lanka November 2025. A little more luxury included for grumpy old Oysterboy this time. And a few rather strange animals spotted.

• Flowerhorn cichlid (very strange looking fish…humanly bread for aquariums and often aggressive)
• Tangalle writers retreat including “Hidden Garden” – a hotel with wild parrots, mongooses, eagles, peacocks, kingfishers, monkeys, lagoon sea kayaking and giant lizards including a two-meter-long water monitor (båndvaran) (!)
• Penthouse Treetop suite at Cinnabar Resort, Tangalle (!)
• An almost one-meter-long squirrel (!)
• Sunset surfing in Weligama
• Coconut Tree Hill, Mirissa
• Visits to “Cape Weligama Relais and Chateaux” and Mariott luxury resorts
• A tiger lobster (3,5 kg, price in Sri Lanka 2.000 Euro, very rare) (!)
• Stilt fishermen in Koggale
• Visit to Araliya Beach Resort in Unawatuna
• Holidaying with all the russians in Unawatuna (!?).
• Galle Fort
• Sri Lanka hit by Cyclone (weather is now much better pls don’t cancel your trip if going there)
• Negombo/Lellama Fish market (2nd largest fish market in Sri Lanka).
