First weekend of may 2026 Charlotte and I visited Vejrø Resort.
Vejrø was bought by Danish founder and former CEO of Saxo bank Kim Fournais in 2005.
Since then he has made the island self sufficient in terms of power (solar panels and a windmill) and water. Hence the island operates ‘off the grid’.
On the island you can find luxury accomodation – and a fine dining restuarant called ‘Jord’ (Earth).
